Position Summary:

The Accounting Analyst position is responsible for various aspects of the accounting and reporting functions for Johnson Management (JM), a related company of JDA. This role assists the Johnson Management team with the daily operations of JM’s accounting functions, ensuring that all general ledger and financial reporting is accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed.

Position Responsibilities - Essential Functions:

  • Partner with the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager in daily operations of the accounting function.
  • Assist in maintenance of general ledgers and posting of journal entries for various entities.
  • Perform reconciliations of various general ledger accounts to ensure general ledgers are accurate and transparent.
  • Assist in ensuring data received from third parties is recorded correctly and accurately to the accounting system.
  • Manage completion of bank, investment, and loan reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the timely processing of payments for various entities.
  • Assist in ad hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Show initiative through streamlining processes and driving efficiencies within the accounting department.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimum supervision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, non-structured work environment. Must be able to self-direct work initiatives and independently complete projects.
