Blake Spencer

Chief Operating Officer; President Industrial Division

As Chief Operating Officer, Blake Spencer oversees the company’s daily operations and drives the implementation of its strategic vision through leadership of the Finance, Accounting, Legal, IT, and Human Resources functions.

In addition to his role as COO, Blake serves as President of the Industrial Division, where he is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing the sourcing, development, and management of JDA’s industrial portfolio.

Blake’s career with the Johnson family of companies began in 2014 with a Finance internship at OTO Development. He joined JDA in June 2015 as a Finance Analyst, contributing to the growth of the newly formed Natural Resources Division before advancing to Director of Finance. In 2019, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer.

A graduate of Washington and Lee University, Blake earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from The Williams School of Commerce.

Blake resides in Spartanburg with his wife and their two children. An active member of the community, he serves on the Board of Directors for Play, Advocate, Live Well (PAL) as Secretary and Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors for the Chapman Cultural Center, where he chairs the Finance Committee.
