Boyce Lawton

Boyce Lawton joined JDA in 2026 as a Director, focused on leading data analytics and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.

Previously, Boyce spent twenty-nine years at Wofford College, where he led the institution’s information management efforts, served as Vice President for Academic Administration and Planning, and most recently functioned as Dean for Student Success. At Wofford, Boyce taught courses in accounting, mathematics, and computer science.

Dr. Lawton earned degrees in mathematics from the University of South Carolina Honors College and the University of Illinois before earning his PhD in higher education administration at USC.

Boyce and his wife raised their two sons in Spartanburg, where he has served in leadership roles at the Church of the Advent, the Palmetto Council of the BSA, and Troop 1.
