Susanna Johnson Shannon, Director
Susanna Johnson Shannon leverages her experience in finance, entrepreneurship, art history and philanthropy to serve her family's business interests and philanthropic causes.
A cum laude graduate of Washington & Lee University, Ms. Shannon went on to earn a master's degree in fundraising and philanthropy from New York University. Her career has included work in commercial real estate underwriting for Bank of America; fundraising and development for art, architecture and engineering college The Cooper Union; and owner/operator of seven Pure Barre franchises in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Ms. Shannon currently serves on the board of directors for Johnson Management, which provides advisory leadership for The Johnson Group and its various divisions and affiliates. Prior board service includes the Medical University of South Carolina Foundation and Converse College, located in her hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
An avid student of art history, Ms. Shannon serves as curatorial advisor to The Johnson Collection, a private collection for the public good that is dedicated to the exhibition and study of Southern regional art. She and her husband, Tim, reside in Denver, Colorado, with their daughter, Adair, and son, George.
